These are pictures taken in and around Grapevine, Texas, my home town. They were not all shot with the same camera and lens. Some are bracketed exposures, and others aren't. But all have been put through a lot of filters, mostly in the form of Topaz plugins for PhotoShop.

9/11 Memorial to aircrews killed in the 09/11/01 terrorist attacks. Grapevine is home to DFW airport, and DFW airport is home to American Airlines. Many of the airliners' crew members killed that day were either friends or family of Grapevine residents. This monument was built locally and funded locally. This picture was taken by a little point-and-shoot pocket camera, so the resolution is not as high as I would like. But the image still calls.

Main Street, Grapevine, Texas. Old town, can-do spirit. Although this image was not exposure bracketed and was just one file, I ran it through various filters to get this HDR-like image.
Main Street shoppers, downtown Grapevine, Texas. Another image that was only a single exposure, but I ran it through a number of different filters to get the HDR-like effect.
